Glycerin is commonly used in skincare and cosmetics which is a general additive. It acts as a humectant to prevent loss of moisture and is a by-product of sugar. The eye-popping thing we found during R&D is the fact that most off-the-shelf vaginal products contain "glycerin."
Other products you may find glycerin include: lubes, vaginal washes, vaginal moisturizer, vaginal creams, vaginal water-based products
WHY WE BELIEVE IN GLYCERIN-FREE FEM-CARE?
Fact is, more than 75% of woman will acquire yeast at least once in their lives.
Glycerin acts like a sugar and can potentially feed unwanted yeast production & infections. Glycerin may contribute to an overgrowth of yeast so, those flowers that are prone to yeast should definitely stay away from Glycerin.
Yeast infections and vaginal complications is often due to the vaginal pH disruption and or an overgrowth of yeast (the culprit is sugar). Disruptive symptoms can include itchiness, irritation, odour or discharge. Please always seek advice from your doctor, esp if your symptoms worsens or if you have long-term issues.
